Just decided to experiment with watercolor and some colored pencils here.

I found this adorable Peruvian finger puppet at a Signature Imports type store. I bought a few of his buddies too:)

He's so cute, I just had to draw a little cool-guy zebra inspired doodle.

Cannot resist Pikachu! Still my favorite Pokemon to this day! Reminds me of a sweet little cat!

I think it could be cute to see them all together in this stylized way!

This week I have been playing around with my watercolors. I typically like to paint color digitally onto my drawings, but I always love the look and feel of drawings that have a true hand-touched look.

It's always good to keep exploring little skill sets here and there to keep my work fresh while challenging myself.

So I drew this little cat floating away!

For many young people, school is starting soon. We are all about to embark on Fall as well. So I just figured we all needed a little luck from Rilakuma's chicky friend.

For the SCBWI conference this year in September, a few illustrators get to illustrate from a manuscript that will be critiqued by an editor at the conference!
