The traditional approach with gouache needs a little more practice, but...

The digital color on top of a scan of my original drawing came out quite clean and satisfying!

Fun day the library with the AAU Children's Book Club

Today at the downtown San Francisco library, there was a drawing event with children that I was able to participate in!

This event can also be viewed on the AAU Children's Book Blog.

I had some fun collaborating with a few of the children to make some purdy drawings

There were some really fun ideas, like taking Sanrio characters and combining them with super heroes. This particular one was Batz Maru as Wolverine! I may have to put my own personal spin on this idea in the future!

Overall, it was a great day of getting children excited about drawing together!

Burmewcula

Been working out the kinks for my Burmewcula story lately :-)

The story is about my kitty who is kidnapped by Young Dracula late one Halloween night. It is up to my three childhood stuffed animals to rescue her and save the day.
